Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen hobbling around New York in a foot brace after suffering a stress fracture in Dec 2016.He had said “You could get it from too much skiing, too much squatting, too much running or too much bicycling.”
Stress fractures are tiny cracks in a bone. They are caused by repetitive force, usually from overuse — such as repeatedly jumping up and down or running long distances. It can also arise from normal use of a bone that's weakened by a condition such as osteoporosis.
Stress fractures are most common in the weight-bearing bones of the lower leg and foot.
