Researchers while studying association between yogurt consumption and cardiovascular disease risk among hypertensive individuals in 2 large cohorts found that hypertensive men and women who consumed  2 servings/week of yogurt were at lower risk for developing Cardio vascular disease.

Study included two large cohorts of individuals having high blood pressure a) 55,898 female Nurses’ Health Study (NHS) and b) 18,232 male Health Professionals Follow-Up Study (HPFS)

Consuming  2 servings/week of yogurt associated with 17 % cardiovascular risk reduction in NHS women and 21% risk reduction in HPFS men.
